Dear Neighbors,

We are incredibly proud to support Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla for re-election, along with his entire City Council team: Emily Jabbour, Jim Doyle and first-time candidate Joe Quintero.

Like many of you, our families have chosen to put down roots here in Hoboken. We each have our own reasons – a love for our tight-knit #HobokenStrong community, one-mile square city living with close proximity to Manhattan, and quality of life, to name a few. But all of us can agree that our thriving schools make Hoboken a desirable place to call home.

No one has been a bigger cheerleader for our schools than Councilmember Emily Jabbour. Time and again, she has proven that she represents all Hoboken families – working to make our streets safer, expanding recreation programming, acquiring more open space for families to enjoy, and more. Whether it is attending a school fundraiser, guest lecturing or reading to a class, helping to organize civic field trips, celebrating milestones, or auctioning off a day in the life of a Councilmember – Emily doesn’t just talk the talk, she shows up for all of our school communities.

When it comes to the health and safety of our children and community, Mayor Bhalla has led the way for Hoboken. He made critical decisions in a timely way, working with the public school district on robust COVID-19 testing to help facilitate a safe return to in-person learning. His partnership and support of the work of Superintendent Dr. Christine Johnson allowed our schools to remain open and a model for other schools to follow.

We need a team to continue that work, which is why we couldn’t be prouder to endorse all of Team Bhalla, including Councilmember Jim Doyle and first-time candidate Joe Quintero. Councilmember Doyle has been a long-time advocate for open space projects that improve our quality of life and have changed the face of our City – from Southwest Park to the 7th/Jackson Resiliency Park to the upcoming Northwest Resiliency Park. We love hearing stories like Joe Quintero’s. Joe, a product of his hometown’s public schools, is a fifteen-year resident of Hoboken who convinced his wife to put down roots in our Mile Square. His daughter, Kara, attends kindergarten at Wallace School, and he’s seen firsthand the excellent programming offered in the school district.

The next four years will require real thoughtful leadership, and partners on the City Council who will put politics aside and do what is best for our collective community. From making our streets safer and acquiring more open space for our kids to enjoy, to expanding recreation programs and partnering with our schools for success – Team Bhalla has proven time and again they will make decisions with all of Hoboken’s families and children in mind.

We know Emily Jabbour, Jim Doyle, Joe Quintero, and Mayor Bhalla are the leaders we need to help keep Hoboken moving forward, and they have our full support in the election. Please vote for Team Bhalla by Election Day on November 2nd!

Sincerely,
